The Core Office coordinates the four Life Sciences courses (LS 1, 2, 3, 4) that introduce all Life Science majors to the core curriculum, plus one GE course (LS 15) for students in majors other than life sciences. We also offer LS187 (Priciples of Genomic Research.) We are here to help you with many aspects of negotiating your way through these courses, including:

  • Helping you enroll in the courses
  • Providing up course handouts you may have missed
  • Directing you to course web pages
  • Receiving exams once they have been graded
  • Finding classes and sections that may have been moved
  • Getting information on course statistics, averages, and histograms
  • Determining the possibility of adding or dropping courses
  • Learning when and where your TA or instructor holds office hours or review sections
